It is hot and loud and colorful and in the tropics the hair feels different.

Photographer Jan Michalko and painter Monika Michalko, brother and sister from berlin, have been living, working, traveling and fighting in Sri Lanka for the past six months.

They explored the realities and fantasies of everyday life and culture on this uniquely diverse and mysterious island universe. The colorful result of their artistic adventures and explorations can be seen as an experiment at gallery Franzkowiak.
